About the role

Our partner is hiring an Associate Project Controls Analyst in Bethpage, NJ. This position falls under a Flexible Work Model with a hybrid location category. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain & submit monthly P&C budget variance analyses and forecasts using SAP
  • Develop project plans & specific cash flows based on work scope
  • Create, release & maintain project WBS / Power Plant structure in SAP
  • Coordinate & maintain monthly cost data & reports
  • Update project forecasts or other requested project financial / status reports
  • Prepare URB Documentation (PCRs, PP slides, waterfalls, etc) for project cash flow approvals.
  • Provide monthly closeout of projects in SAP
  • Provide monthly updates to NEDLI (New Equipment Database Long Island)
  • Provide monthly updates to the CWIP (Construction Work in progress) aging reports to meet department and corporate deliverables and deadlines.
  • Provide storm restoration support as required by the Emergency Restoration Organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction; or minimum 5 years of work experience in financial analysis, construction, or project management.
  • Strong experience with relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office products) and ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills across all levels and organizations.
  • Personal accountability and excellent organizational skills for performance excellence.
  • Knowledge of corporate finance & budget practices is preferable.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with electric transmission and distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of LIPA’s (Long Island Power Authority) business operations, policies, and practices.
