Life & 401k Internship Summer 2024

Here at Sentry, we value real work experience for our interns. We offer not only an internship, but an experience for students to get a head start on their careers, early on. With the 401k internship, you will work with a mentor to learn what life insurance is and how it plays a vital role in the company’s success, as well as how claims are handled. You will also get opportunities to network by attending diverse social events and meeting leadership in multiple areas.

What You’ll Do 

The Life & 401k Intern works closely with a mentor in the department to understand what information is needed to provide excellent written and verbal customer service to participants and policy owners. 

 

As an intern, you will gain first-hand experience in: 

• Assist current associates with incoming and outgoing phone calls 

• Support customers with empathy and understanding 

• Provide assistance to associates by handling a variety of tasks that support life and 401k. 

 

What it Takes 

To be considered for this position, the following criteria is necessary: 

• Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in business management, business administration, finance, or a related field 

• Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.00 

• Expected graduation in Fall of 2024 or Spring of 2025 

• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
