YOU
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for working with a team of maintenance professionals that performs the maintenance of facilities, machines, and equipment within the plant. This position is a weekend shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM with overtime as needed. Weekend shift employees will receive $2.50 shift differential for each hour worked.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Perform preventative, predictive, and breakdown repair on all critical machinery, auxiliary equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Troubleshoot Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment including PLC controls. Installing conduit and making drops choosing the right sized components and materials to complete electrical circuits. (65%)
Machining / fabricating / welding parts for production equipment and process improvement upgrades. (20%)
Assist in determining available options and order parts needed to make necessary repairs to equipment and building (10%)
Assist in establishing an effective, professional relationship with contractors for building and facilities projects. (5%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- An associate degree or equivalent college or technical school is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in maintenance, related field is required.
- Maintenance & Repair: Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical power systems. Must have detailed knowledge of PLC controls and automation. Must have working knowledge of heating, air conditioning and building maintenance.
- Reading Comprehension: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Analysis/Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Safety: Ability to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practice by promoting a safe work environment.
- Quality: Ability to follow work instruction precisely, add materials accurately and maintain ISO documentation.
- Work Independently: Ability to follow both written and oral instructions, including safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies.
- Computer: Ability to use the internet to research parts, communicate via email and use maintenance software program to record and accept work requests.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. Must be comfortable with repetitive movements of hands/arms, holding positions, stooping, and bending. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with proper equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job may risk exposure to bright/dim light, heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, fumes and/or noxious odors, electrical shock, dust, and toxic/caustic chemicals.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
This job requires no domestic travel.
