We are currently seeking a part-time Security Officer to join our team in Batesville, IN.
Your Role at Batesville:
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing safety and security related services for all Batesville, IN based associates, facilities, customers, visitors and guests.

What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for visual and physical inspection including monitoring CCTV for all operating companies.
- Respond to security related incidents for termination/grievance hearings or other issues that occur on company property and/or provide security presence when requested.
- Responsible for responding to intrusion/burglar/fire alarms at Batesville’s President’s residence which includes contacting the appropriate key holder.
- Monitor severe weather and winter weather road conditions which includes emergency notification systems for both when required.
- Responsibility for facility/production maintenance team notifications due to alarms or abnormal conditions during normal business and off hours.
- Responsible for securing production facilities on weekends and holidays.
- Responsible for conducting specific maintenance checks in production facilities, includes contacting maintenance team leaders when required for serious issues/problems discovered.
- Conduct monthly OSHA fire extinguisher checks.
- Assist funeral homes by serving as a point of contact for onsite pickups of caskets and/or cap panels, which may include assisting with loading/unloading of caskets.
- Responsible for providing access for vendors deliveries during non-business hours.
- Serve as an initial contact with associates traveling internationally for security and safety related incidents, issues or concerns.
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 12 months of related corporate security experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in corporate security.
- Intermediate knowledge of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Basic knowledge of security camera (CCTV) operations and troubleshooting.
- Basic computer skills, ability to effectively use email, Microsoft Word, Power Point, and use of the internet.
Nice to Haves:
- Basic knowledge of access control systems
- Severe Weather Spotter Certification (NWS)
