Job Description:
As a Certified Scrub Tech, you will play a critical role in the surgical team by providing essential support during surgical procedures. Your primary responsibilities include:

Preparation and Sterilization: Ensure the operating room is set up and stocked with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment, adhering to sterilization protocols.

Assisting Surgeons: Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment, passing instruments and supplies as needed during procedures.

Patient Safety: Monitor the sterile field, ensuring compliance with infection control standards and maintaining the safety and well-being of patients throughout the surgery.

Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of surgical procedures and inventory of instruments and supplies.

Post-Operative Support: Help in the clean-up of the operating room after surgery and assist in the proper handling and disposal of surgical waste.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Licenses/Certificates:
Operating Room Technician Certification required
Current Basic Life Support certification required
Work Environment:
You will work in Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in the surgical center, collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care during surgical operations.
Compensation:
Hourly Range - $20.00-$30.80
Incentives:
Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
Bonus:
Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
