Team Lead - Items Processing Principal Coordinator

Team Lead is responsible for performing various duties required for the daily control and processing of items received through Items Processing channels. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and curious, and will leverage research to ensure all transactions are processed properly and timely. In addition, the Team Lead manages the day/weekend workflow.   

Location: On-site, Richmond, West Creek (5), VA

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 EST, rotating Saturdays 8:30 am - 5 pm EST

Training: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm EST

Responsibilities 

• Responsible for leading the team in production and escalating tech issues

• Responsible for daily production and daytime settlements

• Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external customers regarding resolution of issues

• Exercise exceptional communication skills in an effort to optimize each contact with internal customers and external customers

• Responsible for continuous improvement of job knowledge by exercising strong listening skills and asking questions for clarity

• Establish and ensure compliance with departmental standards and processes to increase production and accommodate work volumes toward enhanced customer satisfaction

• Ensure compliance with business controls and other Regulatory requirements

• Participate in special projects as needed

• Undertake other projects/duties as assigned

*This role is an essential position and requires on-site attendance. Not a hybrid role.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

• At least 3 years Customer service or Call Center experience 

• At least 2 years experience working in the Financial Industry 

• At least 1 year of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 4 years of Customer service or banking experience

• At least 1 year of leadership experience

• At least 1 year of Bank Operations experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
