What You Will Do

  • You will identify use cases for new technology manufacturing tools and machines.

  • You will design and plan layouts for Smart factory assembly and materials handling equipment.

  • You will help plan and participate in process flow design.

  • You will do analyses of various manufacturing data, i.e. Work In Process (WIP), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

  • You will research and report on design concepts to optimize deployment of manufacturing techniques.

  • Some travel required, up to 10%.

What You Will Learn

  • You will gain knowledge about IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things) and how it can be used to optimize existing manufacturing processes.

  • You will learn to understand how to use the mass amount of data collected from Smart Factory solutions.

  • You will learn how to work within a team to inspire positive change in manufacturing operations.

  • You will learn reporting and presentation skills.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineer or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

  • Experience with CAD modeling.

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and concepts.

  • Ability to work independently.
