About The Role: 

Food52 Revenue & Partnerships is seeking a Senior Manager of Account Management. This is a pivotal leadership role within the organization, responsible for overseeing the Account Management and regularly collaborating with sales and executive leadership. You will be at the forefront of supporting Food52’s media strategy and successfully lead and develop a team of Account Managers. The ideal candidate will have robust experience partnering with agency holding companies across programmatic, digital, video, influencer marketing, and event executions. You will be a thought leader and a partner for our Account Management team, providing leadership, strategy, best practices, and centralized resources to respond to day-to-day client requests. As a leader you should have a proactive, customer-centric mindset with the ability to inspire, motive, and develop a high-performing team. 


Key Responsibilities: 


Leadership & Team Management

  • Build and grow a best in class Account Management team. Assess talent, shape roles, expectations, and workflow across the team. Build KPIs to help manage workload and individual performance in concert with key metrics within Sales and Revenue Operations
  • Manage each individual account manager, checking and approving all media plans before they are delivered to the Sales lead
  • Define, articulate and drive best-in-class media planning principles for our overall organization
  • Coordinate, lead and create training materials for Account Management team trainings to evangelize these best in class media planning principles and keep the team educated and up to date on the most recent innovations in our industry
  • Ensure Account Managers are versed in production timelines and set process for working with post-sale when expedited timelines are requested in pre-sale 
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity for our Sales teams; Manage media mix recommendations on a quarterly basis; Lead strategies for the development of media plans that include creative, first-to-market executions

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as an escalation contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Work alongside Rev Ops to set and manage rate cards, inclusive of specialized category pricing or agency rate cards 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency, furthering premium service standards to our clients.

Ad Product & Operations 

  • Review and approve all IOs, working with legal as needed
  • Set process for requesting discounts, increased added value, or margin exceptions and work closely with Rev Ops to approve these outside of rate card, always maintaining oversight of how the discount or increased added value impacts our ability to deliver sales goals with available inventory 
  • Be an expert in the products we offer and work closely with sales and the PDE team to offer new solutions 
  • Oversee ad productization and ad product definition, work closely with Rev Ops to create pricing structure for each 
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of the Ad Product deck, showcasing the latest and greatest work/examples and ensure that media plan templates ladder back to Ad Product deck 
  • Manage all measurement tools, brand studies, etc. and handle the productization of these offering for Food52 
  • Be an expert in our CMS systems ensuring maximum use of both tools
  • Own Boostr relationship/management and all functions of Boostr
  • Own media plans associated with go-to-market materials i.e. tentpoles, video sponsorship packages, new program launches, and beyond 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5-6 years of digital experience with a background in digital media, sales planning and/or strategy, marketing or campaign activation
