The successful candidate will have a unique chance to learn, to enjoy lots of freedom to set things up, and to advance his/her career in one of Europe’s fastest growing industries.</span></p><span><br/></span><p><span><u>Short Facts:</u></span></p><ul><li><p>Location: Munich, Germany</p></li><li><p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p></li><li><p>Working Mode: Office-first, with partial Home-Office</p></li><li><p>Language Requirement: German (C1+), English (C1)</p></li></ul> <h3>Your Responsibilities</h3> <p><span>As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading Entrix’s, and Flexa’s (a JV of Entrix &amp; ENPAL) accounting processes. You will be given the chance to define processes and standards from scratch, challenge the status quo, and establish scalable &amp; future-proof ways of work. As a company, we embrace automation, and expect our new colleague to carry this mindset too.</span></p><p><span><u>Core Responsibilities:</u></span></p><ul><li><p>Accounting Trusted Advisor: be the department’s Head go-to person for all accounting-related questions. Willingness to research extensively new topics, in a rather complicated but exciting industry.</p></li><li><p>Refine and conduct the monthly closing cadences: controlling book-keeping entries, ensuring compliance with regulation. This also involves correct handling of accruals, depreciation, updates of CoA / Cost Centers etc.</p></li><li><p>VAT Handling: refunds claims submission, evaluation of alternative structures / ways that have positive effect on our liquidity.</p></li><li><p>AP/AR Ownership: regular updates &amp; follow-up internally / externally</p></li><li><p>Consolidation &amp; JVs: consolidate results of DE and non-DE entities.</p></li><li><p>Yearly Submission: full ownership of the official Financial Reports submission, as well as any tax matters that arise.</p></li><li><p>Initial Research on Accounting Matters Abroad: run first deep-dive on accounting / tax related matters on other countries; handle discussions with local accounting teams / partners abroad.</p></li><li><p>Strategic Insights: work closely with the rest of the team on the management &amp; investor reporting; support with due-diligence (especially during fund-raising period).</p></li><li><p>Payroll (Bonus): not a must; however, candidates who have experience in handling payroll will have an advantage.</p></li></ul> <h3>Your Profile</h3> <p><span><u>Mandatory Requirements:</u><br/></span></p><ul><li><p>Highly trusted person; eagerness to get things done; resilience. Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, and willingness to take over new tasks, as they arise.</p></li><li><p>Degree in Accounting, Business, or a similar quantitative field.</p></li><li><p>Technical Requirement: Certified Accountant (German HGB)</p></li><li><p>DATEV Experience (Professional Level; confident to be the “go-to” person)</p></li><li><p>6+ years of experience as an accountant, ideally in a high-growth environment</p></li><li><p>Strategic Thinking: proven examples of “big picture” thinking, and of taking initiative / driving projects</p></li><li><p>German (able to read HGB regulation with high confidence &amp; speak with Tax Authorities), Fluent in English (C1 written and spoken).</p></li></ul><p><span><u>Skills to Set You Apart</u><br/></span></p><ul><li><p>Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups</p></li><li><p>Proven experience leading complex accounting set-ups, with JVs, Subsidiaries abroad, and rather complex transactions (for example, negative prices on commodities etc)</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of FP&amp;A processes and its success factors</p></li></ul><span><br/></span><p><span><u>This role may not be a fit for you if…</u><br/></span></p><ul><li><p>You do not have any kind of Professional Accounting Certification.</p></li><li><p>You are not passionate about energy markets and their complexities</p></li><li><p>You are uncomfortable working with ambiguity, rapid experimentation, and evolving priorities</p></li></ul><span><br/></span><p><span><em>At Entrix, we are committed to diversity - of all backgrounds and experiences.
