Payroll Specialist - Ebury Bucharest
Work Pattern: 4 days in the office, 1 day from home
Role Overview:
The Global Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in processing payroll across multiple countries, joining our payroll team in our central Bucharest office.
About the role
- End to end processing of bi-monthly and monthly payrolls as part of a small team.
- Analysis and documentation of each countries control framework and payroll processing guidance.
- Ad hoc project support.
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders (i.e., Finance, HR, etc.) and the payroll provider to ensure end-to-end process excellence.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
- Performing reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payrolls.
- Stay up to date with local payroll regulations.
- Support Finance teams with month-end close and reporting activities.
- Regularly review payroll processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Attend all escalated and critical payroll related issues on a timely basis
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience of processing payroll - ideally across multiple countries.
- Experience of working with a global payroll provider/system
- Experience in working with manual processes undergoing automation transformation
- Process documentation and control framework building/writing
- Ability to take ownership of payroll processes;
- Problem solving mindset & positive attitude;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communications skills in both Romanian and English.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup and other formulas)
