Exemption Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $84,250.00 - $96,050.00  

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices 

Position Summary

Manages day-to-day financial, administrative and/or related operational activities to ensure the smooth functioning of the office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administers the department's residency training and fellowship programs. Oversees all aspects of the application and interview process for residency, including the initial screening and selection of applicants and preparation of all interview schedules.
  • Oversees all aspects of the academic appointment process for faculty, residents and fellows. Drafts,prepares and processes letters of offer for new faculty recruits.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required ex: faculty and staff related issues, issues requiring assistance with administrative work, and general issues and concerns requiring guidance.
  • Serves as the liaison with the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) for residency recruitment. Maintains the ACGME databases for all accredited programs. Ensures that training information on the departmental WIKI site is up to date.
  • Ensures smooth functioning of the Chairman’s office. Provides work direction to support staff and triages problems as they arise. Acts as deputy for Administrator on financial matters when necessary. Maintains WIKI for training program and Facebook Site.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

Experience

Prior experience in an academic medical center (4+ years).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to handle a fast pace environment and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Macintosh and PC computers.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational and secretarial skills.
  • Ability to work on a number of tasks simultaneously and prioritize.
