Truveta was born in the Pacific Northwest, but we have employees who live across the country. Our team enjoys the flexibility of a hybrid model and working from anywhere. In person attendance is required for one week during the year for Truveta Planning Week.
For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time. #LI-remote

This Opportunity
We are seeking a Medical Director to provide strategic expertise and guidance while ensuring the accuracy and relevance of our data and analyses through clinical validation and expert consulting. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients and key stakeholders, providing guidance as a subject matter expert to drive customer success. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally with internal teams to seamlessly integrate clinical insights, fostering strong relationships and delivering impactful, data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Leverage your clinical expertise and knowledge of healthcare workflows to support our Partner team and Truveta customers as they utilize Truveta Studio for their research use cases.
- Provide clinical guidance on the design, development, and implementation of customer-driven research projects including the developing of complex data definitions
- Work with customers to establish and negotiate needs for free text extraction and term normalization, leveraging best practices in clinical informatics and standard coding systems like SNOMED, LOINC, and RxNorm
- Work closely with the Partner Success team on the early development of a variety of projects, providing independent thought and initiative with the aim of leading the development of more advanced projects, presentations, and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of contractually committed, clinically valid data and provide clinical guidance regarding internally developed models
- Provide strategic leadership to oversee development and advancement of new client opportunities
- Able to effectively at engage, collaborate, and negotiate with customers on needs and timelines
Required Skills
- MD/DO degree and 4+ years of clinical or biotech/pharma industry experience
- 3+ years of hands-on statistical programming experience with R and/or Python
- 3+ years of experience with SQL
- 3+ years of experience analyzing Electronic Health Record data or other Real World Data sources in healthcare '
- Proven ability to partner and collaborate with clients on their research needs
- Experience with the peer-review publication process and comfort leading submissions
