Position Overview:

Responsible for the overall administration and management of Canopy’s solutions focusing on family support. The Director of Family Support Solutions oversees the statewide coordinators for family support solutions including the in-CIRCLE, CAC, TFC, and adoption. The Director of Family Support Solutions works in conjunction with assigned statewide coordinators to plan, organize, and administer quality programs and services ensuring fidelity to each solution’s evidence-based model and healthy fiscal management. Duties assigned include managing day-to-day operations, holistic care, staffing, managing the physical property, environment of care, and fiscal management. The Director of Family Support Solutions provides oversight to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ensure effective community relations/outreach both internally and externally. The Director of Family Support Solutions is also fluent in running reports and ensures key performance indicators are established and met through all the solutions they direct.  Strong leadership skills, business acumen and effective administrative skills are critical to be successful in achieving outcomes.  Moderate travel required.

Job Responsibilities:

Administrative

    1. Plans, manages, and supervises Canopy’s Family Support Solutions in accordance with Canopy, local, state and federal guidelines and evidence-based practices.
    2. Supports the solution directors in attaining appropriate licensure, certification, and accreditation with regulatory agencies including MDHS, MDCPS, MDMH, Medicaid, and Joint Commission.
    3. Assists Solution Directors in organizing, evaluating, and monitoring budgets, spending, and revenue of each assigned solution.
    4. Assist Solution Directors in establishing and maintaining the CARENet and increasing access to care through assigned solutions.
    5. Prepares reports as required by the Senior Director of Solutions and Chief Solutions Officer:
    6. Assist in the development of any assigned proposals or proposals associated with directed solutions.
    7. Develop and recommend annual and long-range plans and key performance indicators of each solution director

Supervision

  1. Provide individual and group supervision monthly to supervisees and document supervision in accordance with Canopy policies and procedures.
  2. Approves time sheets for all designated staff on a bi-weekly basis.
  3. Ensures adequate staffing and maintenance of staffing patterns to meet the needs of youth and families.
  4. Performs annual performance evaluations on all employees under direct supervision and assists those who are indirectly in their supervisory chain.
  5. Attends leadership meetings as assigned representing assigned solutions

Relationships

  1. Develops relationships with key stakeholders, families, and referral sources to secure new business and continued partnerships.
  2. Maintains relationships within the Canopy organization and maintains a working knowledge of lines of communication and workflow within Canopy.
