MBA Summer 2025 Internship - Credit

The Artisan Credit team is dedicated to deep fundamental credit research which serves as a foundation to the team’s high conviction investment process. The Credit team is led by portfolio manager Bryan Krug along with seven dedicated fundamental analysts. 

The team seeks to generate appealing risk-adjusted returns by investing across the capital structure and by taking advantage of the illiquidity premium and asymmetric risk profile in credit investments.  The team’s research process has four primary pillars:

• Business Quality
• Financial Strength and Flexibility
• Downside Analysis
• Value Identification

Artisan Partners is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented MBA candidate with strong analytical and technical ability to assist the Credit team for approximately 40 hours per week. This paid internship program will run for approximately 10 weeks during the summer of 2025.

Location: Denver, CO

Responsibilities

The candidate can expect to:

• Assist the investment team with detailed fundamental credit analysis across the capital structure of firms in the relevant universe
• Assist with the evaluation of potential investment cases by analyzing a firm’s business model, its competitiveness within an industry, and the industry’s long-term health and viability
• Assist team members with additional projects, as needed

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

• Currently enrolled in an MBA program
• A strong understanding of cash flow modeling
• 1 to 3 years of fixed income/credit experience in an asset management firm or bank
• Experience with identifying and analyzing external data sources
• Organized individual with strong analytical and technical skills, as well as attention to detail
• Good communicator that can work independently and collaboratively
• Demonstrated quantitative and statistical ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

 

Salary: $12,500 /month

Specific placement within the provided range will be determined by an individual’s geographic location as well as relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Associates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon Firm and individual performance.
