Under general supervision of the Risk Manager| Compliance Officer, the Security Guard Manager provides technical supervision of other Security Guards as well as personally providing Security Services to assure the protection of life and property at Dilkon Medical Center (DMC). Uphold the principles of WIHCC’s Vision, Mission, and Value Statements. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
- Checks security logs and incident reports daily. Reviews and forwards to Deputy Security Guard Supervisor.
- Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, schedules, time approval, hiring, training, orientation, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Improves staff effectiveness by motivating, coaching, counseling, training and recommending disciplinary action for employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
- Develops annual work plans for Security Supervisor/ Security Guard activities, aligning them with the organization’s strategic objective, to also include an emphasis on education and training opportunities.
- Coordinates updates and training to ensure ongoing compliance with The Joint Commission standards related to security, workplace violence, and emergency management.
- Ensures equitable and documented shift rotation, including fair distribution of nights, weekends, and holidays in accordance with department scheduling procedures
- Manages staff scheduling by approving leave requests, updating attendance, and processing timecards in Paycom. Ensures consistent procedures are followed for annual leave, last-minute call-outs, and that all schedule changes are properly documented in the Paycom system.
- Develops and implements plans and procedures to ensure a comprehensive security program that addresses ongoing risks such as fire, accidents, theft, unauthorized entry, and both internal and external emergencies.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security management plan/ program that aligns with the organization’s overall strategic goals
- Conducts routine security risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential risks to the organization, developing strategic action plans to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Meets with immediate supervisor on all major security incidents.
- Oversees and enhances the organizational Security Program to ensure alignment with internal policies, Joint Commission Accreditation standards, and relevant NN and Federal laws.
- Reviews and updates Security policies and procedures as needed, conducting thorough evaluations at least annually to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.
