What You'll Do:

 

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team .

As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure manufacturing operations meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

You will play a key role in maintaining production schedules, managing resources effectively, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

How You'll Do It:

 

• Leads cell/department activities and associates to ensure a quality product is produced safely, on time, and within budgeted costs; key contributor to leading and managing change within the plant.
• Identifies daily production challenges and finds solutions to prevent recurrence, ensuring production schedules are met.
• Serves as a link between associates and management, supporting associates through organizational changes.
• Assists in developing and monitoring standardized work for direct reports and adheres to Leader Standard Work for your position.
• Audits or assigns audit duties for key result areas (e.g., quality, safety, scrap).
• Holds daily cell meetings to set expectations and priorities for the day.
• Monitors production status hourly, identifies bottlenecks, and implements corrective measures to ensure daily goals are achieved.
• Oversees continuous flow and materials delivery systems, working with associates to drive process improvements.
• Develops associates to improve and expand skills, building bench strength within the team.
• Reviews production schedules and estimates associate hours required to complete job assignments.
• Interprets specifications and job orders for associates, delegating duties accordingly.
• Recommends measures and changes to enhance production efficiency, equipment effectiveness, product quality, and working conditions.
• Initiates and/or suggests plans to motivate and enforce safety rules.

What You'll Bring:

 

• Strong written and oral communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to inspire and motivate associates.
• Root cause analysis, problem identification, and resolution skills.
• Possess or able to learn Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Up to 10% travel required.
• 3-5 years of related experience in a Lean manufacturing environment in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Compensation:

 

The annual salary range for this position at Serta Simmons Bedding is $71,000 to $105,000.
