Job Summary/Basic Function

Visiting Assistant Professor of International Business and Management  

The International Business and Management Department at Dickinson College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in the broad area of finance, with the potential for renewal for an additional year, beginning fall semester 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach five courses in finance areas, including introductory and advanced levels of corporate finance and investments, with the possibility of one repetition.  

 

Dickinson College is a selective liberal arts college in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a national reputation for leadership in global and sustainability education. The International Business and Management Department is one of the largest and most broadly established, offering a wealth of research and co-curricular opportunities, including the Burgess Institute for the Global Economy, Center for Global Engagement, Dickinson College Farm, and the Center for Sustainability Education. 

 

Carlisle, PA has a population of around 20,000; in recent years, it has repeatedly been voted among the best small towns in the US, best historic towns, and ‘most livable’ small towns. By car, it is two hours from Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, and three hours from New York City. Responsibilities: 

Develop syllabi, assignments, assessments, and course schedules to meet learning outcomes; develop and deliver content using Dickinson College's teaching platforms; hold office hours; and fulfill departmental and faculty obligations. Courses will be taught in person on the Dickinson College campus.
