Sr Software Engineer

Storable is seeking a talented developer to be a leader on a team contributing to our industry-leading platform. Top candidates have experience building full-stack systems using Ruby on Rails or JavaScript (Node.js and React). There will also be opportunities to work in additional parts of the system involving Rust, Elixir, and Lua. Other technologies used on the team include Postgres, AWS, and ElasticSearch. Developers looking for a place where their voice will be incorporated into the team, where they can grow as developers, and where they can feel like they improve those around them will find a welcome place on our team. The developers on our storEDGE team are looking for another piece to our close-knit family.

 

What you will do:

• Help drive and develop meaningful solutions to the problems of our customer
• Collaborate with product and user experience groups to excite and delight our users
• Bring a quality-driven mindset to ensure the quality bar is maintained.
• Contribute to project design and refinement
• Mentor junior engineers on the team
• Contribute to the improvement of deployment ecosystem
• Proactively initiate changes to improve the processes and designs of the team
• Dive in with the team and act as a voice of leadership

What you will need:

• 3+ years of professional work experience in software development
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Ruby or JavaScript
• Ability to analyze requirements and provide insight into ways to improve designs
• Experience designing small to medium-scale systems
• Hands-on, passionate, persistent, creative, and humble — you get things done
• Authorized to work in the United States

Bonus Points:

• Extensive knowledge of React is a big plus for the team
• Experience with interviewing is always appreciated for our senior members
• Not being afraid to ask questions will always help you get up to speed faster

Position pay range$117,000—$171,000 USD
