PURPOSE
This role reports to the VP of Enrollment Management and Marketing and leads all aspects of enrollment operations. The Associate Director of Enrollment Operations is responsible for the continued implementation and development of our CRM (Slate) and Student Information System (Empower) to increase connections and engagement with prospective students, to enhance the enrollment management operations for the Enrollment Office and other enrollment management departments.
The Associate Director will assist in planning and carrying out recruitment-focused messaging from concept to delivery to tracking and reporting. Provides data-informed and system-based solutions to facilitate outreach, recruitment, travel and territory management, campus visit programming, yield programming, and data reporting and analysis. The AD assists with Undergraduate campuses CA, VA, and OUG, Graduate Programs, and special programs (Certificate, Dual Enrollment, and Church Partnerships, Extension Sites).
This position provides software development and support in a multi-platform environment, utilizing software applications to support the planning, development, and coordination of recruitment and admissions efforts to recruit and enroll prospective students.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Strategic Initiatives and Process Improvement:
- Works with the VP of Enrollment Management and Marketing and other department leadership to streamline the admissions and enrollment processes for students applying to LPU.
- Responsible for the development and further implementation of CRM processes and procedures used by various Admissions and Enrollment Management units, including Financial Aid, Orientation, Web Marketing. Assists in the implementation of new systems and Student Success Module in Slate.
- Maintains a solid knowledge of both the Empower and Slate CRM databases as they apply to all aspects of enrollment operations, including the application form and data collection/management, communications to prospective students and applicants, events registration, and communications.
- Designs and maintains operational and strategic reports and queries that allow for predictive analysis as well as data dashboards on the comprehensive applicant funnel.
- Serves as functional manager of all other software and technologies used by the Office of Admissions.
- Provides support and CRM training to staff on an ongoing basis.
- Provides reports and queries to various on and off-campus constituents.
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the admissions process, including supervising a team of processing team member(s) to deliver exemplary service and support to prospective students and others.
- Provides leadership, supervision, and mentorship to members of the ops admissions team and helps staff members develop new skills and maintain passion and dedication to office priorities.
- Leads, manages, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff members. Participates in staff development activities and ensures the effectiveness of all processes and events offered by the admissions office.
- Coordinates, leads, and supervises recruitment and yield events such as Youth Camps, Preview Days, Go LPU events, and other recruitment events as needed.
- Documents process and develop procedural manuals.
Data Analysis and Research:
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implements process improvements as appropriate.
- Oversees daily functions and processes like data maintenance, data transfers between Slate, Empower, and other 3rd party enrollment partners.
- Works closely with ITS and Slate support providers to test new functionality and upgrades to Slate and Empower.
- Ensures that data related to prospective students is collected, entered, and maintained in a manner that effectively supports student relationship management and increases applicant yield.
- Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of one CRM (Slate) or SIS (Empower) related professional development each year.
- Participates in community and professional organizations as a representative of Life Pacific University Admissions Office when applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution, plus at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in admissions, Slate, Empower, recruitment and/or related area.
