Bear’s Cup at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is seeking people who have a love for coffee, work, great pay and benefits. Whether   you've never brewed coffee or have extensive Barista experience, we would love to see your application!  

Baristas are responsible for preparing all coffee, and espresso beverages, food menu, and delivering excellent customer service. The “Bear’s Cup Cafe Starbucks We Proudly Brew” will prepare coffee, tea, smoothies, wraps, pastries, also serving casual beverages and beer. Other responsibilities include opening/closing duties, cash-handling, cleaning, and some prep-work. Experience in a coffee environment is highly preferred, but not mandatory. We offer comprehensive training for all staff.

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old. Starting pay is $17 per hour plus tips. Work shifts are about 8-10 hours for a   total of 20-29 hours per week and we have one position available. Hours of Operations are Monday through Sunday 7am until 5pm.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to work independently and with others, anticipate customers’ needs and multi-task with frequent interruptions.
• Requires exceptional verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Must be able to follow instructions, understand recipes, and accurately measure ingredients.
• Requires the ability to stand and move quickly (multitask) for the full duration of your shift (this is a fast-paced job).
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Must be reliable, punctual and bring a great work ethic.
• Experience in a coffee environment is highly preferred, but not mandatory. 

Physical Requirements include the ability to:

• talk, hear and speak with others using clear and professional language;
• endure long periods of standing or walking;
• move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 15 pounds without assistance;
• reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel;
• meet highest standards of personal grooming; and,
• drive vehicle for performance of job duties.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
