Job Description 

The primary responsibility of the data integrations manager is to work with Abercrombie & Fitch IT engineering leaders/teams and business community to ensure enterprise data integrations to internal apps & external vendors are designed and built utilizing modern data integrations standards, design patterns and practices.

They will oversee data integrations team supporting traditional on-prem Data Stage/Global Scape platforms, maintenance of business, and stability while transforming and migrating to modern data integrations architecture promoting decentralized ownership. They will facilitate the adoption of data integration design patterns, best practices, devops, test driven development, and simplification of integrations within the organization. They will work with engineering teams and architects to design solutions which meet enterprise standards.

The Data Integrations Manager will be responsible for identifying/promoting emerging technology trends in integrations space especially data extracts to ensure the company is leveraging them when appropriate to increase efficiency, drive business agility, reduce costs, and drive value

What Will You Be Doing? 

• Team up with the engineering leaders and Enterprise Architecture(EA) to develop design patterns, accelerators, templates, best practices, and KPIs for modern data integrations development for faster, simpler, and more efficient integrations in decentralized ownership
• Partner in the modern data integration transformation to adopt more innovative technologies, including event streaming, cloud-centric architecture, and APIs/Data sharing capabilities
• Drive migration of 1000+ ETL jobs from on-prem data stage technologies onto modern data integrations platform. Drive adoption of a Centrally managed and globally distributed platform.
• Drive migration of 3000+ bulk file transfers/extracts from Globalscape on-prem technologies onto modern data integrations platform.
• Drive modern data sharing practices with bulk data extracts and file xfers
• Collaborate with project portfolio management team and technology stakeholders on data integrations solutions design ensuring integrations standards and practices building scalable and flexible solution
• Partner with the infrastructure and security teams on DevOps, solutions design, centralized logging/monitoring, and transformation efforts to ensure proper scope, resources and costs allocated for needs
• Serve as an evangelist in promoting and adopting data sharing, self-service APIs, event streams, data integrations standards and practices across IT
• Ensure that all application development initiatives are well managed and delivered to meet expectations on functionality, timeliness, and cost.
• Lead and/or participate on technical user groups, task forces, and committees

What Do You Need To Bring? 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 8-10 years' experience in various roles of technical leadership within a large-scale organization

• Successfully led data integrations and delivery of complex business technology solutions into production that have achieved or surpassed business goals.
• Experience with modern data integrations development and design concepts; software development lifecycle; project management; advanced and systems administration practices and principles; planning, design, and problem resolution
• Experience with management and supervisory practices leading people; human resource practices
• Experience in leading engineering team in delivering quality software solutions.
• Knowledge of emerging trends and developments in Azure cloud, API/micro services, ADF, Data Bricks, Snowflake and container-based technologies.
• Demonstrated ability in developing a culture that embraces innovation, and challenges existing paradigms
• Able to manage a team using a diverse environment of integration tools and platforms along with driving modern data integrations transform. This includes incumbent portfolio investments (Data Stage, Globalscape) to APIs/modern data sharing technologies
• Provide leadership and management to build high-performing teams and continuously upskill team members to keep them current thru professional development programs
• Ability to prioritize personal and team responsibilities to meet organizational objectives
• Drive the cultural changes necessary to enable a continuous delivery model, decentralized integration, and foster a strong focus on automation and agile delivery methods.
