Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior 365 Endpoint Engineer to join our growing IT team! Reporting to the IT Manager of End User Services, you will have extensive expertise in Desktop and Mobile Device Endpoint Management. You will be responsible for crafting governance strategies for laptop and mobile device management, you'll also monitor third-party vendor performance to ensure adherence to set procedures. While the primary focus is on Endpoint, you will have plenty of opportunities to dive deep into the other parts of the 365 suite. Be prepared to address complex issues directly, find effective solutions, and provide input on process improvements.
As a Senior 365 Endpoint Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Architect and refine our endpoint management strategies for laptops and mobile devices
- Collaborate with a third-party service provider for endpoint management, aiding in their monthly performance evaluation
- Construct governance models, processes, roadmaps, and testing regimes for device and OS deployments
- Ensure detailed device cataloging, accountability, and status monitoring
- Collaborate with the security team to establish robust device configuration standards
- Design key performance metrics to assess device security, configuration, and accountability
- Regularly update leadership on potential risks associated with device management and security
- Develop intuitive dashboards offering real-time insights into managed devices
- Supervise the device hardware selection to align with business software and functional requirements
- Support the 365 team, aiding in the management of SharePoint, Exchange Online, Teams, among others
- Collaborate with the service desk, curating knowledge base articles and acting as the final escalation point for intricate issues
- Participate in on-call duties when necessary
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- 8+ years of IT experience or 6+ years accompanied by a bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
- Proficiency in deploying and managing Windows 10 and 11 devices
- Prior experience orchestrating major OS or device upgrades
- Deep expertise in MDM and MAM using Intune for Windows and Android
- Mastery in bulk device enrollment and zero-touch deployments
- Comprehensive understanding of BYOD strategies and general Windows troubleshooting
- Solid grounding in Azure AD and associated services
- Demonstrated project management acumen, handling both short-term and long-term initiatives
- Stellar documentation and problem-solving skills
- Proactivity in identifying challenges and crafting innovative solutions
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Familiarity with BigFix, PowerShell/MS Graph, ServiceNow Hardware Asset Module, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Exchange Online
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery solutions, and regulatory compliance pertinent to the industry
- Experience with configuring, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based print servers and drivers
- Expertise in managing and deploying software patches and updates
- Awareness of AI-driven solutions such as MS Copilot and similar
- Prior work in a global or multicultural setting
