JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Financial Specialist is a high-level, independent contributor within the UVM Health Network and/or UVM Medical Center. He/she provides the primary financial management and related analytic support for all network capital projects, network shared services, and more complex health care services / divisions within the UVM Health Network and/or UVM Medical Center. The Senior Financial Specialist is also responsible for overseeing special projects and various duties related to the financial management across UVM Health Network. He/she will be a resource to other Financial Specialists as necessary, providing training and/or project management as directed by the Director of Treasury, VP of Treasury & Financial Services, or Network CFO. He/she provides sophisticated analyses for clinical and administrative leadership, facilities, IT, finance and others. This position requires advanced data analysis and project management skills to accomplish the workload in a collaborative and complex information source environment.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred in accounting, finance or a related discipline.

EXPERIENCE:

Five or more years of progressive, successful experience in complex analyses, business planning, operational planning, including sophisticated financial budgeting and forecasting.
