Senior Java / Spring Boot Developer

<h2 id="job_meta"> <p>Location: Porto,Porto District,Portugal </p> </h2> <p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p>We are Europe’s largest premium outdoor retailer, offering the very best brands, expert services, and over 40 years’ experience to enable everyone to spend more moments outside.</p><p><strong>What will you do?</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain backend applications in <strong>Java</strong>, with a focus on <strong>Spring Boot</strong>.</li><li>Implement efficient and secure <strong>RESTful APIs</strong>.</li><li>Work with <strong>relational databases</strong> (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and <strong>non-relational databases</strong> (Cassandra, MongoDB).</li><li>Integrate and optimize persistence solutions using <strong>Hibernate</strong>.</li><li>Ensure code quality through <strong>unit and integration testing</strong> (JUnit, Mockito, GUnit).</li><li>Participate in defining <strong>architectures and development best practices</strong>.</li><li>Collaborate with <strong>multidisciplinary teams</strong> to deliver end-to-end solutions.</li><li>Implement and maintain <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> using <strong>Docker</strong> and <strong>AWS</strong>.</li><li>Work in <strong>cloud environments</strong> with AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and service management.</li></ul><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree</strong> in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.</li><li><strong>5+ years of experience</strong> in Java backend development.</li><li>Proficiency in <strong>Spring Boot</strong> and <strong>Hibernate</strong>.</li><li>Solid experience with <strong>MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB</strong>.</li><li>Strong knowledge of <strong>HTTP REST, Docker, and AWS</strong>.</li><li>Experience with <strong>Mockito, JUnit, and GUnit</strong>.</li><li>Strong <strong>teamwork, analytical thinking, and attention to detail</strong>.</li><li><strong>English level B2 (upper intermediate)</strong> or higher.</li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with <strong>Agile / Scrum methodologies</strong>.</li><li>Knowledge of <strong>CI/CD tools</strong> (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).</li><li>Additional experience with <strong>AWS services</strong> (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).</li></ul><p><strong>What can you expect from us?</strong></p><ul><li>A permanent job contract for a long term project;</li><li>Tech equipment + SIM Card + personal smartphone;</li><li>Health and Life Insurance;</li><li>Social events and team buildings;</li><li>The commitment of letting you grow with us, and be rewarded accordingly;</li><li>A dynamic and young team that will be always there to support you;</li><li>Training in the latest technologies;</li><li>Coffee, fruits, snacks and a warm welcoming when you pass by the office.</li></ul> <a href="https://caixamagica.recruiterbox.com/jobs/fk0zh4p/?apply=true">Apply to this job</a>
