This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Federal Programs, Property & Buildings Project Director – Europe Operations for our Wiesbaden, Germany location.  Be involved in USACE Europe District projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 

The Federal Programs, Property & Buildings Project Director – Europe Operations will effectively manage and grow select Federal Clients in the marketing, delivery and execution of federal projects. Client projects could include Design & Design/Build Delivery methods. 

This position will report to the Federal Programs District Lead and work closely with the Operations Managers, the Practice Manager as well as Planning Team Director.  In addition, the Program Manager has an important role in supporting our Federal Programs Strategic Plan and growing our market share on various federal contracts in the European District.

This position will work out of our Wiesbaden, Germany location, full time.  

Your Impact
  • Leverage of WSP Federal Programs staff and capabilities to win work with USACE Europe District.
  • General Support with other agencies (DoD, etc.) where application of work experience could help win and execute work.
  • Develop a Base or Installation-level marketing & business development plan to support agencies noted.
  • Strategic Planning Support.
  • Developing a reliable consultant network in various host-nation countries where we do work.
  • Leading and supporting specific AE or Planning projects where applicable for delivery and execution of the work.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture or related field.
  • 15+ years’ experience in consulting, engineering, program management and/or business development to the federal government (DOD).
  • 5+ years' experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams.
  • Professional registration.
  • Strong knowledge and overall understanding of DOD and Federal clients; US contracting industry; knowledge of Federal budgeting, industry business drivers and motivators.
  • Experience leading strategy and marketing for Federal acquisitions; demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams and a variety of stakeholders, and in developing and executing strategies to deliver business results.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of servicing client needs and effective program planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing large and complex opportunities and pursuits.
  • Strong business development skills with attention to win strategies and differentiators.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate and under limited time constraints.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • Active SAME; DBIA; ISOA or other similar professional organizations.
