Job Summary:
Facilities Engineering Manger takes full responsibility to manage the engineering and planning of all facilities and production related projects and oversees all planning and project management efforts of facilities, production and office related moves, new equipment installations, building renovations and new building construction.
Essential Functions:
Maintain efficient and reliable facilities system operations
Identify and investigate improved methods to reduce facilities operating costs
Present projects to upper management
Develop cost benefit analysis, capital equipment / expense requests and manage project to completion
Provide project support for all internal functional groups and Industrial Engineering including production moves, office moves and new production equipment installation, and preparation of plans and specifications for facility and utility system modifications, preparation of detail bid specifications, and arranging bid meetings to obtain contractor costs
Provide cost estimates (including internal work force and contractor costs)
Manage approved projects including the coordination and scheduling of internal work force, outside contractors, regulatory agencies and internal customers affected by the work, budget management and final cost accounting
Manage new facilities planning which includes preparation of requirements and specifications for building size and all utility requirements - power, water, sewer, HVAC systems, for both process and building
Guide and direct Facilities Engineering staff
Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Non-Essential Functions:
Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Facilities Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
Knowledge: Full understanding of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), including how they operate and how they can best fit the needs of the Facilities department
Skills/Abilities: Ability to make decisions quickly during crisis situations; Ability to plan, schedule and review the work and performance of subordinates; Excellent communication skills and tact
Education/Certification: BA or BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or Facilities Engineering or equivalent
Eligibility Requirement: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
