ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to help reporting of Precor monthly financial results to Peloton. This is a high-visibility role, which requires coordinating the flow of information from global Precor entities and various finance teams. The person will challenge the status quo and will be focused on improving financial reporting processes. The role will report to Manager Global Consolidation with a dotted reporting line to Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting at Precor.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for business, strong interpersonal skills, and will be a natural numbers wizard with applicable expertise in Excel and other tools. In addition, the candidate will have solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, business process design, internal controls and experience working with internal and external auditors. The person will be an analytical problem solver, with a data driven background that supports cross-functional work streams which allow for strategic and knowledgeable decision making. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Assist with the monthly close process for All Precor entities (domestic and international); monitor monthly close activities at Precor and proactively escalate all close-related issues
- Consolidate monthly financial information for all Precor entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP, eliminate intercompany transactions within Precor entities and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to Peloton
- Actively work with Peloton to maintain mapping of Precor chart of accounts with Peloton’s global chart of accounts
- Own and prepare monthly reporting deliverables for Peloton’s consolidated financial reporting
- Own monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts for all Precor entities and closely work with Peloton to reconcile intercompany balances between Precor entities and Peloton entities; address all intercompany reconciling items on a timely basis and proactively engage stakeholders to resolve intercompany issues
- Be responsible for the preparation of monthly close checklist and control evidence (IPE) to support control testing and internal and external audits/reviews
- Participate in monthly close meetings, take notes of comments/action items and follow up with relevant individuals to close such items
- Prepare balance sheet flux analysis on a monthly basis
- Support balance sheet account reconciliations process
- Monitor , track and report key performance indicators related to the close process (e.g., late journal entries, number of days to close the ledger)
- Ensure all controls are performed and documented in a manner that meets the requirements of internal and external auditors
- Continuously improve monthly financial reporting and assist the Peloton accounting team in various initiative to accelerate monthly close process
- Support business processes by partnering with other departments, including but not limited to FP&A, treasury, tax, IT, legal and supply chain
- Participate ad hoc team projects and analysis, as assigned
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance; Active CPA or CPA eligible strongly preferred
- 3+ years of relevant Accounting experience; Big Four experience highly preferred
- In depth knowledge of Accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation; SEC experience a plus
- Experience in technology, retail and/or e-commerce preferred
- Excellent communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels
- Proactive self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and an ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet pressing deadlines
- Great teammate with a strong work ethic
- Tech savvy and MS Excel super user (candidate must be comfortable working with and analyzing large datasets)
- Experience supervising one or more staff for 1+ years strongly preferred
- Experience working with various systems including, but not limited to NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Alteryx, Blackline, Monday.com.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA office. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
