Job Description

Technology Services (TS) is responsible for delivering all enterprise infrastructure, applications and related end user technology services across all Brookfield business groups, comprised of approximately 5,000 users.

We are looking for a On Site Security Analyst to join Brookfield’s Global Information Security Team. Reporting directly into the Director, Information Security, the Security Analyst will be a trusted advisor to both the IT organization and the business as it relates to cybersecurity matters.   

The Security Analyst will be responsible to work within the vendor ecosystem to ensure security controls are applied in the environment and the appropriate processes are followed, updated and created as required.  You will work with cross-functional teams and managed security service provider’s (MSSP) to ensure threats are addressed and vulnerability findings are remediated in a timely manner.  You are expected to be a motivated self-starter who requires minimal to no supervision and comes with solutions to the identified issues/problems in the environment.
 

Responsibilities
 

• Monitor, research, investigate and analyze security threats and trends to verify the effectiveness of protective measures
• Analyze technical and business risks to make recommendations for security controls and/or compensating corrective actions
• Work closely and provide oversight of managed security service providers
• Provide security expertise and advice to cross-functional teams and to the Business globally
• Assist with the development, periodic review, and compliance of cyber security policies, procedures, and standards
• Play an active role in security related change management and security investigations
• Perform information security risk assessments of third parties
• Operate vulnerability management and remediation activities
• Reviewing security reports and implementing required controls and changes
• Perform periodic security assessment of the environment to ensure optimal configurations are set and remediate any gaps that are identified
• Perform proactive threat hunting

Qualifications & Requirements
 

• College Diploma or University in a related field
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in security
• Have CISSP or equivalent certification or currently working on obtaining
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, driving solutions through to completion.
• Strong technical acumen with an understanding of cloud security, and familiarity with security tools and processes
• Some experience with PowerShell/Python
• Microsoft 365/Azure experience
• Understand AWS security fundamentals
• Experience working with managed security service providers  
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and aptitude for learning new skills and adapting to new technologies
• Ability to work under pressure with a diverse team.
• Ability to work independently to determine security requirements of the environment and action as required
