What You Will Be Doing:

Amogy is seeking a Director of Maritime Business Development to join our Strategy and Business Development team. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Business Development, the candidate will apply their commercial experience to shape the future of Amogy.

• Identify and pursue commercial opportunities across the maritime sector through networking, market research, and attending industry events
• Deliver presentations and build strong customer relationships leading to projects and sales
• Drive commercial strategy and develop new business prospects, leading to both domestic and international technology deployments
• Structure and negotiate partnership agreements to maximize the value captured and ensure satisfaction of the business partner
• Work with the strategy, product development, and project management teams to understand the technology, inform the corporate strategy, and drive future product development

Requirements

The minimum requirements we seek:

• 10+ years of experience in business development, commercial, consulting, or other client-facing roles
• 5+ years experience in the maritime sector. Experience with energy systems and low-carbon fuels is an added advantage
• Strong track record of creating strategic plans, developing new business prospects, and converting them into commercial agreements and/or sales
• Demonstrated ability to convey complicated commercial and technical concepts in a comprehensible manner
• Entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit with high tolerance for ambiguity
• A bachelor’s degree

The salary pay range for this position is $150,000 to $170,000. The salary pay range is applicable to positions physically based in New York City. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
