Essential Duties
- Administering and auditing employee benefits programs and plans, including health insurance, retirement
- plans, life insurance, and disability insurance
- Be a primary resource to employees and managers regarding company benefits
- Communicating benefits information to employees and answering their questions via ticketing system,
- phone and email in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of employee benefits programs and legal requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of employee benefits enrollment and participation
- Working closely with the human resources department to ensure that employees are informed about their
- benefits options.
- Assisting with the resolution of benefits-related issues or disputes
- Enter National Medical Support Notices in Workday and send communication to employee, Reviews and
- Approves or denies Qualifying life events
- Provides assistance in executing the daily operations of the benefits department.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualification
Education and/or Experience
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is typically preferred
- To be successful in this role, a benefits specialist should have strong organizational and communication skills,
- as well as a thorough understanding of employee benefits programs and legal requirements. A bachelor's degree
- in human resources, business administration, or a related field is typically preferred, along with relevant experience in benefits administration.
Language Skills
- Interpersonal skills necessary to form effective relationships with the user community, IT colleagues, and external vendors.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and comply with company policies and procedures.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Professional License must remain active and in good standing at all times with the State Board of Nursing. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite products.
Physical Demands
- • Must be able to lift from floor to waist up to 20 pounds.
- • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
- • Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions.
- • Must possess the ability to utilize visual and auditory senses to complete all job duties as assigned.
