She/he will be responsible for developing and extending the validation strategy for the sound field control domain, as well as for planning, executing, and documenting the validation of new features that include SW, HW and user workflows. As part of the role she/he will also develop validation software, execute acoustic measurements, design subjective listening tests, and be responsible for the review of all the above.</p><p></p><p>In addition to a very good hands-on experience based on a solid academic foundation, 7 years+ experience in Audio validation and measurement she/he must be a passionate &amp; culturally open individual, enthusiastic about closely working within a diverse team, with rigorous attention to the detail.</p><p><br/><b>What You Will Do</b></p><p></p><ul><li><b>Validation Strategy Development -</b> create, extend, and improve the long-term audio validation strategy and concept for the sound filed control domain. Incorporate validation processes with a strong focus on the quality of user experience, making validation concepts and results tangible for stakeholders and customers. Set-up long-term collaborations with other teams working towards a unified validation terminology and strategy.</li><li><b>Audio Feature Validation -</b> Ideate, align &amp; execute the development &amp; validation of new audio features based on using a modular approach of building blocks that get developed by a cross functional international team. Pay attention to effective signal flow creation with low footprint &amp; best audio performance. Own features and actively drive the creation of user stories with the support of the project lead. The success of this role will also be assessed on the timeliness of delivery, the engineering efficiency and quality.</li><li><b>Innovation –</b> contribute to feature development, publications, and new IP that helps to protect our technologies &amp; differentiate from competitors. Engage in creatively automating validation processes and improving validation software tools.</li><li><b>Documentation – </b>carefully gather, document, and present validation results to a wide range of stakeholders to foster a culture of transparency and trust in our technology development.</li><li><b>Business Acumen -</b> Keep the ROI and technology value in mind when making decision for validation approaches. Act as a global team player.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You Need</b></p><p></p><ul><li><b>Academic background -</b> bachelor’s or master’s degree in Sound Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Signal Processing or equivalent.</li><li><b>Audio Validation / Measurement - </b>he/she shall have a strong experience in audio validation and must bring 7+ years hands on experience in validation strategy design, validation software development, acoustic measurement, and subjective listening tests. Additionally strong experience with the usage of state-of-the-art audio software applications is required. He/she shall also have hands on experience in using MATLAB and ideally Python. Knowledge in AI/ML domain and related fields is a plus.
