Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team to execute and manage subcontracts and monitor operations. You will develop the subcontracting strategy, operating procedures, staffing plan, and the contracts section of the Project Execution Plan. You will review and approve bid details, commitments, and negotiations. Your oversight will ensure project subcontracting is consistent and that requirements have been implemented.

 

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-1LM

Major Responsibilities:

• Participates with the project team on a large project in defining and developing the scope of Contracts work, and in preparing and coordinating Contract plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets 
• Contributes Contracts input to the preparation and/or modifications of the project’s prime contract 
• Supervises assigned personnel in the orderly performance and completion of project subcontracts through the bid, evaluate, award, administer process with established policies and procurement procedures
• Prepares and/or directs preparation of commercial terms and conditions for use on all project contract documents, ensuring that requirements of the prime contract are incorporated 
• Coordinates Contract execution plan with Engineering and Construction plans and operations to ensure that input from these disciplines will enable Contracts to perform its functions in accordance with project plans 
• Reviews commitment approvals and execution/signature authorities and ensures commitments are made in accordance with Corporate and Contract policies and procedures 
• Develops and implements a Subcontract Formation Program for the project consistent with the Corporate Procedures and the Subcontract/Contract Formation Guidebook 
• Analyzes the subcontract commercial terms and conditions to highlight areas of risk such as ambiguities, conflicts, or deviations from the scope of work 
• Makes recommendations to the Project Manager on the mitigation of these risks and closely monitors and supports remedial actions and recommend appropriate tradeoffs 
• Maintains a working relationship with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Legal and Risk Management to facilitate organizational interfaces between those performing subcontract formation and management activities
