Job Title: Senior Manager Group Accounting

Location(s): Berlin – Hybrid Working Model

 

Role Responsibilities:

• Involvement in the preparation of annual financial statements (IFRS) for the Springer Nature Group
• Involvement in the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts (IFRS)
• Managing and contributing to projects, e.g. group-wide harmonization of accounting processes and systems, due diligence, integration of new companies into reporting processes/systems
• Ad-hoc reporting for requests from management and shareholders
• Subject matter expert and contact person for specific IFRS/accounting areas of the Springer Nature Group.
• Analysis of monthly submitted reporting packages from subsidiaries and continuous improvement of the reporting process
• Analysis of monthly consolidated group income statement and balance sheet

 

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• University degree in business administration with a focus on financial reporting and accounting and/or controlling or a very good degree as a certified accountant
• At least 4 years practical experience in group accounting and reporting
• Experience in running projects independently
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong communication skills and strong analytical skills
• Fluency in English and German - spoken and written
• Good knowledge of the IFRS - both theoretical background and practical implementation
• Very good accounting skills/practical experience
• Experience in audit (desirable)
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion Smart View (desirable)
• Experience in working with SAP FI/CO and S4 Hana (desirable)
