About this job:

The Senior System Infrastructure Engineer is a major player for the stability and innovation for the IT services framework that host, deliver, and maintain the core business applications and workflows worldwide.  Exposure is broad, covering many different technologies and business units, working with various teams, establishing relationships, all to provide a stable and efficient platform for the business to operate in. 

This position requires a strong ability to drill down into particular topics and have the ability to take a step back and look at the bigger picture in order to have a complete approach, to triage for a major incident and/or manage a solution to carry out for stabilizing the environment as part of a permanent problem resolution. You need to have the ability to manage incidents from a technical perspective, providing information and timelines to communicate to a non-technical audience.

In addition to extensive technical ability, strong communication and organizational skill are a key to success for the role.  This is a special position in the fact your responsibilities will include both day to day operations and engagement in the support of roadmap projects and initiatives as they arise.

About the role:

The right candidate for this role must be able to Anticipate,  Identify, Analyze and Solve operational incidents, liaise with the proper stakeholders to manage expectations and implement the necessary changes for permanent resolution. 

The highest priority is to provide stable operations on a daily basis.  To achive this, we must follow an approach that is consistent and redue complexities making it easier to manage.  This allows us to maintain accurate controls and provides the ability to collect valuable information to consistently evolve and improve the quality of our IT services. 

The Production environment is Microsoft dominant with multiple flavors of Linux.  The right candidate will have extensive production experience supporting Windows and  Linux environments.  As part of overall service management, creating and maintaining living configuration and control documents aligned with our support model is a key to success. 

You will be a senior member of a global operations team who is responsible for managing and providing 24x7 support for our services hosted in our Azure hybrid cloud environment.  As part of providing support to a global environment, we have an on-call rotation that is spread across the US and CET time zones, that compliment each
