- Bring your talent and skills to Raytheon Software Engineering team! The selected candidate will intern with Raytheon during summer 2026 as part of the Raytheon Fellowship Program.
About the Raytheon Fellowship Program:
- Seeking students in their sophomore or junior year or seniors if pursuing a master’s.
- Upon program acceptance, participants will be submitted for a national security clearance.
- Participants will receive a $10,000 signing bonus upon acceptance to the program and an additional $10,000 signing bonus upon converting to full-time employee status post-graduation.
- Participants will sign an offer agreement, committing to remain with Raytheon for a minimum of two years after becoming a full-time employee.
What You Will Do:
- Work as a software developer and integrator as part of a development team which utilizes a diverse dynamic workforce, including many experts in their fields. Specific duties include:
- Responsible for performing development, integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms
- Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources, integrate and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization
- Develop software as necessary to integrate between components, perform new capabilities, to facilitate testing, etc.
- Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code overage, participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews, and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code
Qualifications You Must Have:
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and will be at minimum Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Grad year by summer 2026.
- Software development experience with Java in a Unix/Linux environment
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Software development experience with Java, C++ or C#
- Experience with scripting languages such as Javascript, Python or Ruby and familiarity with a Javascript framework such as AngularJS or VueJS
- Experience with version control software such as GIT or CVS
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Hudson/Jenkins or Cruise Control
- Experience or familiarity with Agile development practices
