THE POSITION
 

Within the Technology & Innovation group in Vitesco Technologies, the candidate will focus on thermal system engineering, analysis and simulation to identify optimal thermal system technologies and component requirements for electric, plug-in-hybrid, full hybrid, and mild hybrid vehicles.

 

Daily Activities include but not are limited to:

• Motivated and self-driven professional to lead and support R&D projects
• Electrified vehicle thermal system simulation, analysis of simulation results, present results internally and to the customer
• Manage and support thermal system engineering projects for OEMs or internal customers
• Internal collaboration on thermal system engineering including simulation
• Apply project management tools to track and communicate progress, coordinate team activities, identify potential roadblocks and propose countermeasures.
• Vehicle testing and thermal system instrumentation
• Benchmarking of existing electrified vehicles
• Technical scouting, creating innovation projects and developing new product opportunities
• Professional development including attending technical conferences/seminars
• Build- up technical competencies and communication skills of the team

Job Requirements

 

Required:

 

• Master or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or related
• 2 plus years of technical engineering experience both individually & in a team setting
• 2 plus years in thermal component/system analysis, simulation & design for electric vehicles
• Experience with commercial CAD packages, engineering drawings and GD&T
• Multidisciplinary experience and ability to adapt to different domains
• Thermal system simulation experience (CFD, FEA, Simulink, etc.)
• Analyze simulation results, test results, and customer feedback for system and product impacts
• Experience with component/system engineering requirements
• Experience with customer communications & technical presentations
• Demonstration of strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with data analysis and regression methods

 

Preferred:

• Experience with the following:
  • Rapid Prototyping
  • DFMA
  • Electric Motors and Power Electronics
  • NVH Simulation
  • Solid Structures Simulation
