As a Certified Veterinary Technician in the Radiology department, you will be responsible for:
- Anesthesia Induction
- Partnering with DVMs to provide patients with appropriate diagnostics, including Ultrasound, CT, and X-ray
- Performing anesthetic monitoring, including intubation/extubation of patients
- Obtaining and preparing various blood samples for diagnostic testing
- Accurately capturing and processing multiple types of radiographs
- Overseeing outpatient and inpatient radiology and imaging schedules, coordinating with other departments, staff, and radiologists
- Assisting Advanced Imaging Technicians with high-quality MRI/CT studies
- Producing high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner
- Troubleshooting imaging machines and associated equipment
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of canine and feline anatomy
- Effectively communicating with clients, radiologists, and specialists
- Assisting with patient care when the imaging department has down time
- Practicing proper radiation safety protocols
- CVT with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
- Recent graduates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology will be considered
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring is preferred
- Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and a working knowledge of radiographic techniques is required
