HR Intern

HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Human Resources Team as an HR Intern.  This is a challenging role in which you will apply your academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment while supporting HarbisonWalker International’s Field HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Team with various projects.   You will gain hands-on experience in areas, such as audits, compliance, engagement surveys, recruitment and data analytics.Responsibilities

• Assist with various HR audits and related action items
• Assist with ensuring HR policies, procedures and practices remain compliant with federal and state employment laws and regulations
• Assist with onboarding new employees and various other new hire initiatives
• Assist with talent acquisition (posting positions, sourcing resumes, phone screening, arranging interviews, updating interview guides)
• Assist with employee turnover analysis and implementing recommendations
• Review and update SOPs and assist with other directed projects

Requirements

• Pursuing a MA, BA or BS degree in organizational development, I/O psychology, human resources, or equivalent minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Requires a general knowledge of best practices in learning including learning theories and instructional design models
• Requires a problem-solving and analytical mindset, interested in process improvement
• Requires the ability to influencing people and teams 
• Requires computer operation skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and other software tools/ solutions as needed to prepare documents and presentations.
• Requires analytical skills and the ability to assemble data 
• Requires time management and organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
• Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and individual environment
