World Relief Quad Cities seeks a Welcoming Center Coordinator (WCC) to oversee the Illinois Welcoming Center (IWC) program. This position will conduct outreach and workshops to immigrants and refugees who could benefit from services through the IWC at WRQC. The WCC would work closely with all case management departments at WRQC to determine needs of refugee and immigrant populations and create innovative solutions through IWC outreach and case management services.

Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee the Illinois Welcoming Center Program grant and ensure services are conducted within grant guidelines
• Organize and conduct workshops to help immigrants and refugees expand their knowledge on various topics and resources such as US Tax Systems, Credit Systems, Healthcare benefits, School Resources, etc.
• Conduct community outreach activities to educate the public on IWC services using interpretation as needed
• Facilitate monthly community alliance meetings with local stakeholders who share mutual interest in serving immigrants effectively
• Communicate regularly with other WRQC departments to conduct referrals and needs assessments as necessary
• Create and implement monitoring and evaluation plans for the IWC program
• Other related tasks as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Flexibility and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced work environment
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work sensitively and effectively in cross-cultural settings
• Good time management and multi-tasking skills

• Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
• Fluent in another languages such as Arabic, Dari, Karen, Pashto, Spanish, Swahili, Rohingya, or Ukrainian
• Valid driver’s license, reliable access to an insured vehicle and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check
