Shipping and Receiving Lead

This position is responsible for the direction of the completion of the work assignments of team members within the department and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of consistently high-quality products according to the production plan and customer requirements. This position is responsible for loading or unloading shipments, pulling and picking orders, and operating a variety of machinery and equipment.

Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

- Designates, leads, and approves assignments for the department.
- Supports the workload of the shipping, receiving and yard area through clear communication and follow-up.
- Storage and movement of finishing goods, products, and raw materials.
- Ability to unload and load trailers of both finished goods and raw materials by operating lift truck and pallet jacks as needed.
- Schedule inbound and outbound shipments with business partners.
- Build daily loads for order pickers.
- Responsible for 3-way match inbound shipments and receive in the system.
- Follows proper and accurate receiving procedures for various materials received at the site. Processes DRP shipments, and receipts from site to site to protect service levels.
- Operate material handling equipment, site sweeper, scrubber in a safe and orderly fashion for site cleanliness.
- Coordinates the recycling program and ensures proper bailing or recyclables for pick up.
- Monitors, collect and replaces satellite stations and prepares for disposal.
- Keeps proper records for reporting quantities and types of material received, reused, sold, and disposed.
- Keeps proper records necessary to meet EPA, Cal-EPA, Health Department, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have two (2) years of similar or directly related experience to the shipping and receiving operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have knowledge of paint, raw materials, and production equipment.
- Have knowledge of department safety equipment, work hazards and safe work rules, policies, and practice.
- Have at least two (2) years of warehouse and production experience.
- Have at least one (1) year of experience in usage of electronic tablets and scanners
