Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst

Work Location: Hybrid - Arlington, VA (2 days a week onsite required)
Clearance Required: U.S. Citizen, DHS Public Trust (EOD)

Alpha Omega is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support an IT portfolio within a PMO for one of our clients.  The selected candidate will, at a minimum, fulfill the responsibilities below. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Decompose and document large initiatives into smaller requirement

·      Write user stories that clearly describe the desired business outcome and contain Acceptance Criteria that enables teams to define the best solution

·      Present documented requirements to stakeholders for feedback

·      Suggest product improvements or enhancements to increase end-user satisfaction

·      Facilitate and lead meetings with various internal and external stakeholders

·      Manage SharePoint site to include technical capabilities in design and site architecture

·      Manage Confluence Jira board for multiple teams

 Required Skills/Experience:

·      5 Years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst

·      Knowledge of business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and identifying MVP

·      Ability to gather requirements from customers in a proactive manner

·      Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels

·      Experience supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs into requirements

·      Ability to test user stories against acceptance criteria

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to ask probing questions to business team members

·      Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

·      Intermediate or above experience with JIRA and Confluence

·      Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Software Engineering Life Cycle (SELC)

·      Ability to independently manage SharePoint sites

Required Education:

·      Bachelor's degree in Business or an IT related field, which can be substituted for technical certifications or relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

·      Experience working in an environment leveraging Agile SAFe framework

·      Active or recent previous DHS experience

·      At least 3 years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development

·      Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset

·      Expertise in transforming and building end-to-end environments using DevOps to integrate, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and operate multiple systems
