Job Description

As a Security Professional - Driving Patrol Armed - Retail in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer at a prominent retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This is both an armed and driving position. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication, and play a key role in supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, while responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to observe for suspicious behavior and address any security-related issues as they arise.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters at the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences observed during patrols.
• Follow all site-specific procedures regarding the carrying and use of authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal training and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
• Applicants must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
