About the role
This position is located in Seattle, WA. At Amazon Web Services (AWS), Security is our highest priority. The AWS Security team is responsible for the security of services offered by AWS. We are looking for a passionate, customer-obsessed, results oriented Principal PMT with experience working with engineers in a diverse team. AWS Security is responsible for creative and innovative solutions that raise the bar for how AWS employees interact with resources, systems, and data. At AWS' scale, we invent new security products to enable system administrators and developers to build rapidly in a highly secured environment.
The candidate will work directly with teams across AWS and Amazon including service teams, subsidiaries, infrastructure, and administrative teams to identify opportunities to make security easier for our customers. You will define the problem(s) we are trying to solve, desired customer experience, vision, tenets, and product strategy. You will own product roadmaps and work with engineering teams on prioritization. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your products and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals.
The successful candidate is one who loves partnering with customers and engineers to build products that enable Amazonians and developers to operate quickly and securely. You are passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering some of our most strategic technical features. You can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery.
Key job responsibilities
As a Principal PMT, your day to day job responsibilities will include:
• Own and drive the working backwards strategy, tenets, long-term goals and documents (press release, FAQ) including customer and market feedback, competitive analysis and business metrics to inform direction.
• Define and execute product plan including customer goals and business requirements for product/feature release, ensuring implementation is aligned with product goals and requirements.
• Building technical solutions and key measurements to track progress against business goals and desired security outcomes
• Working across teams at AWS to refine your plans and obtain buy-in
