The Head of US Balance Sheet Forecasting, Asset Liability Management is responsible for leading the Balance Sheet and Net Interest Income (NII) Forecast team, a centralized function in the US Treasury team responsible for completing balance and NII forecasts in baseline as well as stress scenarios for the US P&C business and US legal entities. This role is accountable for developing strong relationships with key Line of Business and Finance team colleagues in developing a cohesive forecast for the US segment. Additionally, developing, reviewing, and challenging key forecast assumptions are critical.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
- Works closely with other business partners including senior leaders within the Lines of Business
- Leads and develops a team of finance/risk professionals to ensure best-in-class balance sheet forecasting in both base case as well as stress scenarios for the US Retail Segment and US Legal entities
- Ensures accuracy, completeness and timeliness reporting to our Finance partners, Product Partners, Risk Management, Board, Financial Disclosures and Regulators
- Develops and delivers NII forecasting of US retail segment and US legal entities and supports associated NII and NIM reporting
- Produces insightful and actionable deep-dives, largely to support US Treasury's business-advisory service
- Responsible for providing insights on the US Segment reporting and Non Interest Margin results and Non-Treading Market Risk positions
- Ensures appropriate controls & governance are in place for all forecasts produced
- Provides active engagement to task forces and committees as needed
- Develops relationships with stakeholders across the bank, including other Finance functions, 2nd line and 3rd line risk functions

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math or Economics
- 10+ years of experience in finance/accounting, bank treasury or other relevant experience
- Preferred designation: CPA, CFA, and/or MBA
- Ability to communicate effectively, synthesizing complex issues to easy-to-understand messages
- Industry, business, product, Treasury experience
- Demonstrated strong conceptual and analytical abilities
- Strong internal control orientation
- Strong understanding of and experience in implementing large scale and complex programs/projects
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team player
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience with external regulators is an asset
- Organization, prioritization, negotiation are critical
- Proven ability to develop strong business relationships with internal and external partners
