Maintenance Technician-Water Treatment Plant

Overview

Be able to diagnose ,service and repair various pumps ,motors, plumbing (pvc and steel piple) and other equipment. Must have some experience in plumbling,welding and electrical  Must be able to read, interpret, and apply information from technical manuals, blueprints, meters, charts and other written materials.

Responsibilities

 

• Diagnostics and repair pumps and motors in plant.
• Preventative maintenance of equipment
• Ability to diagnose water treatment plant pump system malfunctions, determine appropriate procedures to repair those malfunctions.
• Read, interpret, and apply information from technical manuals, blueprints, meters, charts and miscellaneous other written materials
• Perform maintenance and repairs to treatment plant mechanical components and equipment, including valves, motors, control panels,
• and collection lines.
• Work in confined spaces in awkward positions, such as stooping and kneeling for extended periods.
• Work in dusty areas
• Work in hot and cold temps daily.
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs .

Qualifications

• Work at heights on aerial lifts. Climb ladders.
• Use small hand tools.
• Operate heavy equipment , forklifts, and aerial lifts.
• Mechanical aptitude/diagnostics and repair experience with pumps and motors
• Electrical knowledge and experience (licensing a plus but not required)
• Welding (mig) metal and pvc
• Pipe fitting
• Must have valid drivers license
