What You’ll Do as a Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP)

As a Lead DSP, you will provide direct support while taking on a leadership role within the home, mentoring staff and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.

Daily Responsibilities

◦ Lead by example, coaching and supporting Direct Support Professional
◦ Assist with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement
◦ Ensure person-centered plans, behavior plans, and documentation are followed accurately
◦ Support day-to-day operations of the home in partnership with leadership
◦ Administer medications and maintain proper documentation
◦ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment
◦ Transport individuals to appointments and advocate for their needs
◦ Support individuals with budgeting, household routines, and independence goals
◦ Complete required documentation including progress notes, incident reports, and daily logs
◦ Communicate effectively with team members and provide clear shift hand-offs

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.

Valid driver’s license.

GED or High School Diploma required

Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Compassionate, dependable, and team- oriented

Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
