What will you do?
The Chief Of Staff will serve as a trusted advisor to the CMO by providing thought partnership, strategic analysis and insights, project management and execution of key projects and initiatives within the Marketing organization. In addition, the CoS, Marketing will define and lead transformational projects that improve the effectiveness of the SentinelOne Marketing organization and support our mission to be the new standard in Cybersecurity.
Working with executives and senior leadership, the CoS will be the right-hand to the CMO and responsible for delivering thoughtful, insightful, high impact contributions across a range of “high-stakes” strategic projects. You will lead the operating rhythms, and partner with all-domain leaders on all aspects of daily business operations, including: organizational strategy, investment decisioning, efficient operations, employee communications and engagement, strategic insights, executive customer and partner presentations and storytelling, and objective and result management.
This role may expand to have direct reports, create and lead the PMO office and operations for the entire marketing organization.
What will you do?
- Strategic planning, operations and project management skills, with experience achieving quantifiable results
- Highly action-oriented and organized, excellent cross-functional communication and relationship building skills with Senior Leadership and C-Level
- Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making
- Experience in organizational structure improvement, process optimization, and talent strategy calibration
- Detail-oriented, forward thinker who can anticipate what’s next/possible
- Excellent presentation skills, storytelling, PowerPoint and Google Docs expert
- Strategy: Deliver extraordinary tactical, strategic and operational insights and recommendations while keeping a pulse on key developments in the external environment, industry trends, and competitor actions
- Projects: Plan and complete work streams for large, sophisticated projects, as well as take full ownership end-to-end for smaller projects.
- Cross-functional: Cultivate positive relationships with E-Staff and business partners across the company to advise and align strategy work, driving the execution of action items and top priorities agreed upon by the CMO and the executive team
- Operations: Own and continuously improve company operating cadence (e.g. executive team meetings, leadership offsites, quarterly OKRs reviews, quarterly board meetings).
- Meetings: Support the productivity of leadership meetings by owning the planning, agenda, and notes
- Presentation: Develop high impact presentations for key audiences, including the C-suite, Board, analyst community, and regulators
What skills and knowledge should you bring?
- Experience as a Senior Director/VP, Chief of Staff or a similar leadership role
- 15+ years of marketing experience in a B2B enterprise software company
- Understanding of marketing principles and methodologies working in dynamic Cybersecurity, Cloud or SaaS organizations
- Understand SentinelOne’s company strategy, how it translates to Marketing and how to use those insights to reinforce with the leadership team
- Create and lead quarterly planning by collaborating with multiple team members in Finance, Sales, Analytics and the Marketing leaders.
- Experience in management consulting, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, or any other business-related role
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or tech company that demands strategic thinking, data analysis, organization, and collaborative communication
- Ability to work cross functionally and across all levels, building relationships
