Your role at Clorox:

Are you an experienced creative who can set the vision, while also minding the details? Clorox is looking for an Associate Creative Director – Content to shape the creative work that really connects with consumers wherever they are – across digital, social, e-commerce, and experiential platforms. In this role, you’ll lead a talented team of writers and designers, working closely with strategy, production, and account teams to create high impact content that connects, converts, and inspires.

This role is built for a strong conceptual thinker who can effectively guide and mentor creative teams on turning ideas into successful execution. We’re looking for an experienced creative leader who has empathy for our hundreds of millions of diverse consumers, and who thrives in a fast-paced, high volume environment (2,500+ projects a year). From quick-turn creative to fully integrated campaigns, you’ll help shape how our iconic brands show up in the world. True passion for the potential in emerging creative tools like generative AI is a must. If you love building iconic brands through powerful content and want to do it at scale, this is your next move.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage content creative execution for a group of Clorox brands, ensuring a standard of excellence and consistency across all of our creative executions

  • Drive creative vision for brands, bringing campaign thinking and conceptual direction to paid, owned, and earned marketing executions

  • Create campaigns and executions that communicate to a variety of audiences, with a growing focus on younger, multi-cultural millennial audiences

  • Experience working in a variety of marketing channels, with emphasis on storytelling across a variety of mostly digital touchpoints, including social, websites, CRM, and e-commerce spaces

  • Lead content productions, providing guidance on executions including video and photo shoots, storyboarding, mood boards, etc.

  • Create a coherent marketing ecosystem across brands, in partnership with the Associate Creative Director-Packaging

  • Work closely with partners in account management, strategy, and project management to understand business goals and brainstorm creative solutions

  • Drive human-centered, purpose-focused ideas for brands, making sure that all marketing connects with people.  Often translating AOR advertising campaigns to additional marketing channels

  • Strong point of view and leadership skills, including an ability to make decisions on creative concepts to bring to brand reviews and willingness to make strong recommendations to brand partners, with compelling rationale, on which option best solves the business challenge

  • Serve as creative contact for day-to-day brand partners

  • Evaluate assignments/opportunities and allocate the correct creative resource (designer/writer/UX lead) needed to serve the brand challenge

  • Meet team needs for speed and quick-turn deliverables, allowing work with low creative lift to move quickly into execution

  • Assemble creative presentations, from concept to execution through production, with the help of account and project management

  • Meet billable hour requirements while also driving revenue growth through new ideas

  • Embrace, champion, and implement new ways of working, including generative artificial intelligence

TALENT LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Manage a team of 1-4 creative specialists, including writers and designers

  • Manage team utilization rate, ensuring that team members are working and workloads are equitable throughout their team

  • Create actionable developmental plans for direct reports and provide continuous feedback to advance careers and remove obstacles to their success

  • Right-size the team effort, ensuring low-creative lift work moves quickly with few layers, while higher-value work receives more scrutiny and attention

CLIENT MANAGEMENT/EXTERNAL FOCUS

  • Establishes strong relationships with brand partners

  • Understands corporate strategy and goals. Ensures all Electro strategies are tied to them and are effectively communicated
