Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Specialist I, Patient Financial
Role Overview:
- Contact patients via telephone prior to their scheduled appointment to acquire demographic and financial information
- Discuss financial options with patients who are considering additional services at MSK
- Provide patients with information regarding hospital billing and other administrative procedures
- Generate Medical Record Numbers as requested by any clinical areas that may need tests reviewed
- Advise patients about their financial responsibilities, options and actions to be taken
Key Qualifications:
- The drive to provide outstanding patient service
- 2-3 years of experience in healthcare patient finance is strongly preferred
- Third party insurance experience preferred
- Direct patient or customer service experience preferred
Core Skills:
- Detailed, results-oriented, and organized with a high standard of accuracy
- Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances
- An excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills
- Able to exercise judgment with autonomy when handling sophisticated situations
Additional Information:
Location: Hybrid, twice a Quarter at 633 3rd Ave
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Reporting to: Supervisor, Patient Financial Services
Pay Range:$25.18-$37.75
