Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Specialist I, Patient Financial

 

Role Overview:

• Contact patients via telephone prior to their scheduled appointment to acquire demographic and financial information
• Discuss financial options with patients who are considering additional services at MSK
• Provide patients with information regarding hospital billing and other administrative procedures
• Generate Medical Record Numbers as requested by any clinical areas that may need tests reviewed
• Advise patients about their financial responsibilities, options and actions to be taken

Key Qualifications:

• The drive to provide outstanding patient service
• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare patient finance is strongly preferred
• Third party insurance experience preferred
• Direct patient or customer service experience preferred

Core Skills:

• Detailed, results-oriented, and organized with a high standard of accuracy
• Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances
• An excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills
• Able to exercise judgment with autonomy when handling sophisticated situations

Additional Information:

 

Location: Hybrid, twice a Quarter at 633 3rd Ave

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Reporting to: Supervisor, Patient Financial Services

 

Pay Range:$25.18-$37.75
