$98,010.00 - $137,218.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Provides patient care in collaboration with a member of medical staff. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) works in a collaborative relationship with a physician provider to oversee the care delivered to a patient population or program of services. The NP is responsible for direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, education of patients and staff, assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital-required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required.Exciting opportunity for an PNP/PA who enjoys being part of a hardworking interdisciplinary team to provide specialty care to children with developmental disabilities. Experienced preferred. Primary responsibilities will include provision of direct patient care to children with complex disabilities in a busy outpatient clinical setting. Patient care includes assessment of developmental status, health, and behavioral conditions, ordering testing, treating health and behavioral conditions. The role will also involve some care coordination, oversight of RN phone management, and participation in research protocols. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the APP role, skills in working with children with disabilities and/or challenging behavior, psychopharmacology skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working in a busy environment essential. Culturally diverse applicants and bilingual applicants encouraged to apply. Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner
- Require a Master's degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.
Physician Assistant
- Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
